Executive Chef

Ted Burnett

Chef Edward Burnett, commonly referred to as Ted, joined the Max team in 1989.  His flexible nature has made him a great asset to the Max Restaurants and allowed him to develop his creative talent and management skills.

His first job at Café Pacifico provided him the opportunity to work each station and learn every aspect of back of the house operations.  He pursued a degree in Culinary Arts and graduated from Manchester Community College in 1988.  After working at Hartford’s Gaetanos, he joined Max on Main as a line cook, working under several great chefs, who helped shape his cooking style and technique.

Ted was promoted to Sous Chef while at Max on Main and retained that position with the opening of Max Downtown in 1996.  He later relocated to Max Amore as a Sous Chef, broadening his experience with its Northern Italian cuisine in preparation for his current position as Executive Chef.
